Bioenergy powered kilns operating at full steam!

Our bioenergy powered, heat treatment kilns are getting a workout! We recently heat treated 100 cases from the National Gallery of Victoria. The cases will be used to loan out Australian artworks overseas. All of the cases will be heated to a core temperature of 56 degrees to kill any bugs and pathogens in the timber. This will ensure they are ISPM-15 compliant. Last year we were using LPG fossil fuel to power our kilns but with our new Biomass boiler we are now using recycled woodchip as fuel. We love cooking on Biomass!
